Amish Agretreat

A Day Among the Amish: From God to Farm to Table

Our first trip to the Amish Farms back in May was so successful we are doing another one only with a twist. Instead of a tour only, we are teaming up with The Interfaith Round Table of Washtenaw County and Community Systems Learning Center of Hillsdale County to bring you a full day workshop-and-retreat in the heart of Amish country.

Saturday, September 25th, 10 am – 6 pm

We’ll explore the intersection of agriculture and religion, reflect on how our belief systems help or hinder our food systems and the other way around, meet and chat with an Amish family, and consider what we can learn from their approach to farming and food ways as we plan for both “sustainable agriculture” and “sustainable spirituality”.

The day includes lively conversation, guided tours and time for private reflection as well as authentic Amish made lunches and dinners prepared with locally grown food. Cost: $100
